WEATHER REFUND POLICY: No refunds are given for inclement weather. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY: No refunds will be given unless:
  • The National Weather Service’s orders mandatory evacuations in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane”
  • Hurricane warning area residence of a vacationing guest.
  • The day that the National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuation order in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning” area:
    • Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered
    • Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive and AGREES (not wants) to shorten their stay, to come after the Hurricane Warning is lifted.
    • Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the “Hurricane Warning” period OR AFTER A STORM HAS PASSED, IF THE DWELLING IS DAMAGED, THERE IS NO POWER AND/OR THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE ISLAND INFRASTRUCTURE.
    • RENTER AGREES: To be responsible for any intentional damage or negligence resulting in damage to the premises. In the event there is any damage done, the renter will cover landed costs to repair or replace as may be necessary. This will include missing beach towels. An additional cleaning charge may be incurred if upon departure the property is inspected and found to require more than the normal check-out cleaning. The owner is not responsible for cable, WiFi or electric outages. At the time of this reservation all home amenities are accurate to the best of our knowledge. OCCUPANCY: Rentals are single-family homes with each having a maximum sleeping limit in accordance with the number of bedrooms. Certain homes are not suitable for large gatherings (i.e. as a venue for receptions, group functions, etc) unless prior arrangements made with Abaco Island Rentals. Exceeding maximum occupancy violates the terms and conditions of this agreement. Should there be an exceeding number of people, you will be charged an extra fee. USE: Any use of the dwelling other than residential use during a family vacation must be approved by Abaco Island Rentals. If the dwelling is to be used for any event, such as weddings, reception, or large gatherings, the Guest agrees to submit a request for approval to Abaco Island Rentals and adhere to Abaco Island Rental's determination of that request. If we approve the event, the Guest may be required to pay an additional deposit. If the Guest misrepresents an event, the guest agrees that the Agent may refuse occupancy or have the dwelling vacated and the guest will not be entitled to a refund. REPAIRS: Even the best or newest equipment occasionally malfunctions and cannot be guaranteed 100% of the time. The owners contract the best maintenance personnel available. Problems are corrected as soon as possible. Agent or an authorized employee or repairman may enter the premises during business hours for any purpose related to the repair, care or maintenance of the premises. Refunds will not be issued due to malfunctioning equipment or the guest dissatisfaction. PET POLICY: Pets are not permitted in homes or on the premises, unless pre-approved. LOST AND FOUND: Agent will find and return any lost or left behind items to guest, at guest’s expenses. CHECK-IN: Check-in time is 3:00pm. After hours check-in can be made with prior notification. CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 10 A.M. There will be a mandatory lock-change charge if keys are not left on the kitchen counter or returned to the Agent upon your departure. Garbage should be removed from home and put in the refuse bin. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT: If a guest violates any of the conditions or restrictions of this agreement, the Agent may terminate this agreement and enter the dwelling. Upon termination of the agreement, guests shall vacate the dwelling immediately. The undersigned guest understands and agrees that he/she is responsible for the acts of all persons in his party or guests of the party. INDEMNIFICATION OF AGENT BY GUEST: Guest agrees to indemnify and save Agent, its employees and agent free and harmless from any claim or liability for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from, related to or in connection with rental of the dwelling, including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or loss of property which is made, incurred or sustained by a Guest or any Guest invitee. PS: Please be aware, there is a 10% VAT tax on home rentals.
